JerseyWay explains what it knows, what it infers, and what it still lacks.
JerseyWay is an independent accountability platform built to help Islanders understand how elected States Members vote, organise, campaign, and accumulate public evidence, with an early Hansard sample surfaced where available. The product is deliberately explicit about partial layers so citizens are not asked to trust a black box.
Current public profile count in the generated dataset.
Published proposition-stage records visible in the site today.
Members with linked media evidence. Promise coverage is 6%.
If a JerseyWay surface is partial, sample-based, or catalogue-led, that limitation is stated in the route copy instead of being buried in methodology notes.
The site is strongest on members and votes, useful but partial on evidence and FOI, and intentionally preparatory on the interests layer.

Research linkage mode: linked where local research rows matched current members; party-level manifesto rows stay counted but are not auto-assigned to individuals
Jersey Open Data CKAN datastore + api.states.je member API + digitalstates.je enrichment
Current-term member vote histories now come directly from published CKAN datastore resources where available, with digitalstates.je retained only for participation/similarity enrichment.
JerseyWay is built from public data and research outputs. It is designed to improve transparency and discoverability, not replace official records.
Before quoting any statistic or claim publicly, cross-check against the original official source, especially where CKAN datastore coverage is incomplete or official endpoints are unstable.
Voting alignment and strategic absence indicators are analytical signals, not definitive proof of motive. They are intended to help citizens ask better questions.
• Members sourced from api.states.je authoritative API.
• Current-term member vote histories sourced directly from official Jersey Open Data CKAN datastore resources.
• Official Assembly XML proposition-result feed supplements aggregate outcomes where CKAN member-level coverage is missing.
• Participation and similarity enrichment sourced from digitalstates.je member/statistics pages.
• JEP and campaign promises merged from local research outputs.
• Committee memberships remain partial because the live pipeline currently preserves member-attached seed rows rather than a refreshed authoritative committee directory import.
• Party-level manifesto rows remain in the raw promise totals but are not auto-assigned to individual members without explicit evidence.
• Hansard public depth is still a limited local sample until broader transcript acquisition is restored.
